My kids love Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom. It’s a light cartoon series with no villains, clever character development, subtle but tasteful quips, humorous archetypes, and a big dollop of magic and implausibility that keeps the little ones captivated.
This is my favourite episode. It plays like an incredibly incisive commentary on monetary policy, state economic meddling, and the productivity of free people. This is as much (or more) for adults as it is for children. Enjoy this little (actually big) social commentary.
